Julie, our Kitchen Design Manager, studied Interior and Environmental Design at Duncan of Jordanstone, where she enjoyed learning her craft and soaking up the creative atmosphere – working amongst other designers, architects and fine arts students.
Following art school, Julie got a graduate job in kitchen design where she began to develop her skills in the industry. She initially worked with retail clients and then went on to spend a number of years in R&D and manufacturing – giving her a solid grounding in the technical details of kitchen design, as well as the aesthetic. Joining the Palazzo team has allowed Julie to come full circle and return to her design roots, doing what she loves best.
Kitchen design is all about taking a client’s brief and creating something that absolutely suits their personality and their lifestyle. Having remodelled two of her own family homes, Julie understands the pressures this brings, so she is in a great position to give her clients advice from both a personal and professional perspective.
Julie’s favourite part of the process is helping her clients realise the potential of their space. That and seeing the excitement on her clients’ faces when they walk into their finished kitchen – of course that’s the best bit!
