Tom’s new kitchen is built on the modern and classic minimalist lines of the Pronorm X-line range. The original space contained a living room, dining room and kitchen. We transformed it into a more open-plan area by removing an old cupboard and knocking down two stud walls.
Part of the wall was retained to create a room divider, which now houses the tall units. This was key to making the space modern but still homely and comfortable, allowing the client to add his own personal touches with artwork, cookbooks and ornaments.
As well as adding practicality and flexibility to the storage in the kitchen, the open-plan layout creates an area which is much more sociable—perfect for entertaining family and friends.
The door fronts are a sophisticated Gloss White and Onyx Grey Matt with the trademark stainless steel handleless profile of the X-line. Tom’s stylish new dining table matches the 16mm thick Pronorm Laminate Natural Concrete worktops, tying the room together.
Modern Siemens appliances feature throughout, including an induction hob, single oven and combination microwave, an integrated fridge freezer and integrated dishwasher. A flush-fit ceiling hood is built into the box lighting feature, creating a warm and welcoming glow from the ceiling. The kitchen also features a Smoked Grey Mirror Splashback.
A Blanco Metra Silgranit lay-on sink in Alumetallica finishes off the practical features of the kitchen, accompanied by a classic and bold BlancoMax stainless steel tap.
The clean and simple flooring is Amtico, with by Lynas Carpets, and the room also features Stelrad Radiators.
