For Stuart & Kay’s new kitchen, we removed an interior wall to create a large open-plan kitchen, living and dining area with an abundance of natural light. The handleless Pronorm X-line range suited the transformed space perfectly.
The client chose a sleek monochrome colour scheme—Gloss Porcelain White and Structure Black, with Dekton ‘Aura’ worktops in a stylish veined pattern. We used matching materials for the bespoke TV unit in the living-room, opting for Pronorm laminate in ‘Light Ceramic’. Throughout the design process, we also helped our client choose complimentary flooring, furnishings and lighting for the living-area, to ensure cohesion across the whole interior.
The client was keen to have a large central island with a casual seating area as the focal point. We incorporated a Bora induction extractor hob to keep the ceiling space above the island clear and maintain the open feel of the room.
The kitchen also showcases a variety of cutting-edge appliances, including: two Siemens Studioline single ovens, a tall larder fridge freezer by Liebherr, and a Miele integrated dishwasher—all housed in the tall bank of units on the far wall. The Blanco ‘Subline’ undermount sink, in a ‘Rock Grey’ Silgranit finish, is fitted with an Insinkerator waste disposal unit and stainless steel Quooker Flex hot water tap.
Finally, the smoked grey splashback compliments the monochrome tones, with the added benefit of bouncing light back into the room.
