Alex & Sharon’s new kitchen was designed using the handleless Pronorm X-line range, to create a bright and modern space. By using the ‘Gloss Lacquer White’ door finish as a base for the colour scheme, and installing a new ceiling and LED feature lighting throughout, we could accentuate the natural light and contribute to the open feel of the room.
Our client had a real artistic flair and chose a fresh blue ‘Larimar’ colour for the painted glass splashbacks accents across the kitchen. We came up with a sleek solution for the tall units where they run seamlessly into the step in the wall; by framing this section out and incorporating a bespoke bar area this makes for a stylish solution to an otherwise awkward space. The lit shelving provides a display space for glasses above the Caple wine cooler.
The large island with curved ends forms an impressive focal point at the centre of the room, with space for a couple of stools for casual dining. The worktops are an Aluminio Nube shade of Silestone with a polished finish, adding a gentle contrast to the light handleless furniture.
The kitchen features a range of cutting-edge appliances, including: a Bora induction hob with built-in extractor, Siemens single and compact ovens, a Siemens integrated dishwasher, as well as the client’s own American fridge/freezer. The Blanco ‘Andano’ model of undermount sink, in stainless steel finish, which ties in seamlessly with the worktops, and includes a Quooker ‘Fusion’ boiling hot water combination tap in brushed chrome.
Finally, the client installed bi-fold doors that open into the living space and the garden, enhancing the flow of the whole ground floor and creating one large area for entertaining family and friends.
