When Bob and Lorna were looking to renovate and extend their living space, they provided Palazzo design team with one of our favourite things – a blank canvas.
Key to our design solution was to allow for abundant storage without overwhelming the overall space, and to provide a modern, sleek kitchen which was both practical and visually striking. Our design experts also had to account for the space being designated as a kitchen, lounge and dining area, with large bifold doors leading out to the garden for Summer entertaining.
With a focus on minimalism, clean lines and subtle features, we fully utilised the Pronorm handleless Y-line range – renowned for its combination of form, function and ergonomics.
Pale gloss grey was used as the core colour, with storage in rich Sherwood dark brown set into the rear wall to minimise impact when entering the space.
The streamlined, elegant island forms the centrepiece of the space and incorporates a ventilated Bora hob and a wine chiller, which sites neatly and unobtrusively alongside the breakfast bar seating. A linear, grey feature panel and low level units continue the clean, minimal feel and add style and finesse.
A light grey Silestone Aluminium Nube was selected as the worktop, elevated by a subtle sparkle effect which radiates throughout the day. This was elegantly offset by the Sherwood dark Brown Breakfast bar which wraps the island beautifully.
The kitchen space was finished with top of the range appliances – Siemens STUDIOLINE single oven, a Steam combination oven stacked with a Combination Microwave, an integrated coffee machine, Siemens integrated tall larder fridge and freezer, Siemens integrated dishwasher and a Quooker Fusion boiling water tap.
Modernity and technology meet minimalist style and elegance. Bob and Lorna now have a fabulous kitchen space, one which Team Palazzo are very proud of.
