Stunning Handleless Design
Andrew and Charlotte’s new kitchen is a stunning example of what can be achieved with our Pronorm Y-Line handleless range. The level of care and attention to detail gone into the design of this kitchen is outstanding with each element designed specifically to Andrew and Charlotte’s lifestyle. Having discussed various colour options, Andrew and Charlotte opted for the matt lacquered laminate colour crystal white. The feature furniture and wood panel detailing is in a veneer called oak sepia which creates a timeless colour contrast to the light colours used throughout the rest of the room.
,The chrome mirrored plinth which runs along the base of the units creates the illusion that the furniture is floating adding to the sense of space by bouncing light around the room. The worktop is the durable Dekton by Cosentino which is extremely heat resistant, stain resistant and scratch resistant. We opted for a 12mm thickness continuing the sleek appearance of the handleless furniture and in order keep the look of the kitchen as seamless as possible we matched the worktop colour as close as possible to the furniture. This also lended itself well to create the large splashback behind the hobs continuing right up to the ceiling where we installed a flush mounted ceiling extractor.
Charlotte is an exceptional cook and loves spending much of her spare time in the kitchen. The most important aspect of this kitchen was to make sure that the best appliances were chosen which compliment Charlotte’s style of cooking. After much consideration, we choose a whole suite of Miele appliances including two single ovens and a combination microwave oven with warming drawer from the M-Touch range. The main hob is a large five burner gas model with an additional side hob which is a specialised wok induction model. There is also a built-under Miele wine conditioning unit positioned on the peninsula. The integrated appliances include a full height larder fridge, built-under freezer and dishwasher.
As well as being aesthetically pleasing, there is also a very functional aspect to this kitchen that you don’t see. The clever storage solutions and internal mechanisms include two pull out corner Le Mans mechanisms in the corner units, range of glass-side pull-out drawers all fitted with walnut drawer inserts in a variety of configurations of cutlery inserts, knife blocks and spice jars, integrated bin and recycling unit, two pull out larder units and one tall convoy larder unit with adjustable glass shelves.
By expanding the current kitchen and merging two rooms into one, we have created a practical and comfortable space that Andrew and Charlotte are delighted to cook, eat and entertain in. To give your kitchen the Palazzo treatment, pop into our showroom or book your design visit here.
